The opportunity

You will be part of the Behavioural Insights Team, which is distributed across Australia--currently in Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane.

The Behavioural Insights Team sits within People Risk Claims, as part of the Claims function in QBE. The Behavioural Insights Team supports our People Risk Claims (Workers’ Compensation and Compulsory Third Party), as well as other businesses within and outside of Claims and the Australia Pacific region.

The BI Team is collaborative, supportive, and high performing. We hold the goal of applying behavioural and decision science to do good for our customers and QBE.

As a Behavioural Insights Consultant, you will apply your behavioural science insights and research methodologies to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives after injury.

Primary responsibilities

Understanding business problems using research and data

Develop and test behaviour-based interventions to address business needs (e.g., via randomised control trials)

Use research and influence skills to gain buy-in from the business leads

Use change management models to embed solutions as business as usual

Work independently on projects, experiments, and consulting where required

Design and deliver training to improve capability for stakeholders

Track outcomes of interventions and training

Conducting data related activities: wrangling, cleaning, analysing, visualising

Communicate findings to the business
