About the role
Council has an opening for an energetic and experienced worker to undertake a role within our Environment & Planning team. The Biosecurity Officer is responsible the delivery of effective and efficient biosecurity management programs and advisory services throughout the Upper Lachlan local government area.
If you have a passion for increasing the awareness of weeds in our region and empowering people to better understand weeds, report and control them - then this is the role for you!
About you
This role provides you the opportunity to apply your Certificate III qualification in a relevant discipline and/or extensive experience in the identification and management of Biosecurity threats hands on.
Your motivation and strong communication skills will set you apart from others applicants, as will your exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle complex compliance activities comes with ease.
What we offer
This position is based in Crookwell and offers an attractive salary up to $1265.06 per week plus 10.5% superannuation. The position is Grade 8 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award.
