AddressSchmik Fab Pty Ltd Due to expansion, Schmik Fab Pty Ltd is looking for experienced Boilermakers & 2nd class welders to join our team. 7 on 7 off roster Attractive rates Start @ $42 & for the right applicants an immediate increase to $45 after 3 month of probation. The successful applicants should be familiar with Air Arc gouging & must be sufficient in GMAW & FCAW The applicants should also have a positive attitude and must be a team player, eager to work & an eye for detail.
Multiple positions are available for immediate start. Night shift roles available minimum 3 years work experience required General boilermaker duties as per trade are required for this position, may include but is not limited to: must be sufficient in GMAW & FCAW, gouging, preparation of the area before welding, blending & grinding. Be able to work productively to meet due dates & deadlines in a fair manner Be able to interpret workshop drawings is an advantage.
A positive attitude & an eye for detail is a must in this position. Be able to work in a team environment, communicate and take directions from workshop leader. Forklift (High risk licence) is an advantage in this position, being able to move your own job around during the repair process eg rolling to complete other side.
General house keeping of your workshop bay, workshop equipment & tooling used during your work day must be carried out. Report any breakages to the workshop leader, so they can be repaired or replaced with minimal done time. Always be ready to help a fellow team mate with queries or problems
