- Located at Manning Base Hospital in Taree, the Booking Office consists of a small, dedicated administrative team working in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams of Preadmission, Surgical, and Perioperative.
- The Booking Office is open Monday to Friday, with patient interaction a primary focus and occurring daily via face to face, written correspondence or by phone consultation.
About the role:
- This position is critical in the management and coordination of scheduling elective surgeries for the Manning & surrounding Communities.
- A focus on delivering optimum patient outcomes whilst working collaboratively within an evolving environment invites stimulating challenges and growth opportunities.
- In this role, you will be provided with orientation & training, and have the support of the Booking & wider multi-disciplinary team.
About you:
- You will require flexibility and adaptability, with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to interact positively with others in a personable and professional manner.
- You will need to have heightened decision-making skills, work autonomously with minimal supervision, have excellent time management, critical thinking, and a high level of computer literacy.
- Medical Terminology qualification (or equivalent experience) with demonstrated experience in using medical terminology in the workplace is a bonus.
