The Opportunity
Your role will play a crucial role in a range of research efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with growers and clients.
- Breeding Trials: Managing your own breeding trial load, including trial design and maintenance.
- Protocol Adherence: Ensuring compliance with protocol objectives.
- Plant Expertise: Identifying weeds, diseases, and insects affecting crops.
- Diagnostic Skills: Conducting plant diagnostics.
- Machinery Operation: Operating agricultural machinery.
- Data Interpretation: Analysing statistical data.
- Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural or Horticultural Science (or a related field).
- Demonstrated experience in breeding trials.
- Problem-Solving: Enjoy tackling complex challenges.
- Curiosity: Be naturally curious and self-motivated.
- Adaptability: Thrive in changing situations.
