Job description
Brisbane City Council are seeking an experienced Arborist/Tree Climber to undertake tree maintenance using ropes, harnesses, pulleys and other specialised equipment with the ability to operate a pole saw, mobile chipper, chainsaw and other machinery as required.
A high level of skill in the work you do with a strong focus on ensuring safety and following WHS guidelines.
Tree maintenance, pruning and removal
Chipper operations
Chemical application
Stump grinding
Training of new staff
What you will need to exceed
A strong sense of teamwork with an interest in ensuring projects are completed to a high standard. A commitment to safety and ensuring all machinery and operations are conducted according to and guidelines.
It is essential that you the following current license and certificates
Certificate III in Arboriculture (and/or relevant industry experience)
Chainsaw minimum Level 3 (required)
Chipper Ticket (required)
Truck Licence (highly desirable)
First Aid & CPR
Work Safely in the Construction Industry (white card - required)
Working Safely at Heights
Traffic Management Implementation (or willingness to obtain)
In addition, you will need to be able to obtain an MR vehicle licence within 3 months of commencement (If you do not already have one)
