A large growing legal practice are currently looking for an experinced building and construction legal counsel.
The Opportunity
Fantastic front end construction opportunity, for an experienced lawyer, to join a growing dynamic legal firm with a wide variety of work within building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate contract amendments with external counsel and joint venture partners.
- Draft tender agreements and a suite of project specific subcontracts.
- Support and advise project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects on interpretations and contract administration issues.
- Reviewing proposed contracts and associated documents with requests for tenders.
- Managing any workplace investigations and other ethics and compliance issues that may arise.
- Ensuring that the business is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements including privacy law, Modern Slavery, cybersecurity and ESG and WHS developments.
Ideal Candidate
- Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia
- 3-6 years PAE and ideally you will have gained some front-end construction experience inhouse.
- Exposure to all forms of engineering and construction contracts.
- Solid drafting and negotiation skills.
- Workplace investigations, compliance and employment law experience is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,345.49 – $155,023.87 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Parramatta, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
