Building Asset Engineer

Council has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in optimising Building Assets to enhance community functionality. As a Building Asset Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the longevity and efficiency of our community's infrastructure. Responsibilities Conduct inspections and assessments of Building Assets to determine their condition and inform renewal programs.

Develop and implement Council’s Asset Management Plans for Building Assets. Manage Council’s Asset Corporate Registries including SAM and GIS, to provide accurate strategic asset planning and programs consistent with Council’s Long-Term Financial Plan.

Support asset accounting and valuation actions with Council’s Finance Team Optimise the management of asset lifecycle costs with respect to capital, maintenance, and operations. Identify potential risks in Building Assets and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of occupants and compliance with regulations. Assess and update the asset register for Building Assets.

Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in building management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in Building Asset management.
