Building Scheduler and Estimator 

Starboard Side Construction is looking for an experienced Building Scheduler/Estimator.

What the role entails:

- Calculate construction costs and materials needed for projects.

- Analyse plans and gather data for accurate estimates.

- Create detailed estimates to ensure projects stay within budget.

- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to determine project            requirements.

- Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to provide the most accurate estimates.

- Creating and maintaining a schedule for construction projects, including timelines and deadlines.

- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available when needed.

- Monitoring progress of ongoing projects and adjusting schedules as necessary.

- Communicating updates and changes to the construction team.

- Tracking and managing project documentation, such as permits, contracts, and invoices.

- Resolving scheduling conflicts or delays that may arise.

- Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

- Maintaining accurate records of project schedules and related documentation.

Qualities we are looking for:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

- Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.

- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.

- Ability to problem-solve and handle scheduling conflicts.

- Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust schedules as needed.

- Prior experience in construction scheduling or a related field is typically preferred
