We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services unit as Business Analyst on a 16-month fixed-term full-time basis. Reporting to the Director, Information and Digital Services, the Business Analyst is responsible for elicitation, analysis, socialisation and documentation of business processes and business requirements relating to IT systems or system changes. This will be mainly for projects within the IBAC Plan Implementation Program but may also include other planned projects.
Key accountabilities include:
- Analyse, understand and document business and technical processes (current state - future state gap analysis), elicit requirements for systems and critical enhancements through conducting workshops and other methods, and create technical / business focused requirements or user stories.
- Ensure that requirements enable traceability to test cases and provide assistance with coordination of testing, where required.
- Communication: Negotiate, initiate and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Policy and Projects: manage and lead the delivery of business analysis for complex projects.
- Administrative and Corporate support: Provides professional leadership in a specialised corporate support function (Business Analysis).
- Operational Service Delivery: Provide specialist professional services or advice, including leadership and guidance to other specialists in the field.
- Technical specialist: Contribute to the development of standards relating to the sector, program or profession.
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- A tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in Business Analysis is essential.
