CommBank Smart Health is Australia’s first end-to-end digital solution for the healthcare industry – providing convenient and secure payment, claiming, and directory capabilities for the healthcare payer schemes, providers and patients. Our aim is to be the leading financial services partner to the Australian Healthcare industry.

CommBank Health sits within Business Banking (BB) which offer a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.

The CommBank Smart Health Crew consists of multiple Squads and the BA Lead will manage the BA members allocated to the stream of work within the squads. This role reports into the Executive Manager - CommBank Health Claim Technology.

Our team is built on the principles of Agile and we are looking for a Leader who is interested in working in a team that has a collective responsibility for building the best Healthcare digital products in Australia.

Do work that matters:

As a BA Team Lead, you will be responsible for –
  • Providing high level consulting, strategic or operational advise to stakeholders on the direction for business analysis activities including business process modelling, requirements elicitation, data modelling, use case development, validity of business case, project scope and solutions
  • Driving the implementation; embedding and continual improvement of methodologies, frameworks, tools and process,
  • Leadership style is centred on the CBA Group vision and values. As a BA lead, you will work with the team of Business Analyst to develop and grow a high performance, values-based team culture.
  • Providing people leadership and management including Onboarding, hiring, skill building, career development, coaching, performance management and individual and team engagements for Chapter members, in line with guidance from the Chapter Area and /or Practice
  • Facilitating the constructive resolution of conflicts which may arise both internally & externally to the Chapter
  • Implementing and supporting consistent ways of working across the Chapter. Set clear expectations on the guardrails and standards to be applied as defined by the Chapter Area and /or Practice.
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition to attract talent and fulfil capability requirements in Squads
We’re interested in hearing from people who
  • Previous leadership experience as a BA Lead/Manager managing a Team of BAs of at least 5 - 6 members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Banking or HealthCare Domain (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Experience working on technology enabled projects including software and solution delivery lifecycle experience
  • Experience working in Agile teams with detailed knowledge of agile business analysis processes & techniques
  • Experience in Business Analysis for Mobile applications (iOS/Android)
  • Proven ability and experience to prioritise across competing demands
  • Good understanding and previous experience in business analysis of products with API integrations
  • Background in managing and delivering structured artefacts (e.g. Functional/System specifications or use cases, process mapping)
  • Working knowledge of writing business & technical user stories (using Gherkin syntax and BDD framework is desirable
