ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for an experienced Business Continuity Manager to join our high performing Business Controls Office Team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Continuity Management, you’ll be responsible for preparing the business to respond-to and recover-from a wide variety of significant disruptive events. This role forms an integral part of the 1st Line of Defence at ING. The Business Continuity Management (BCM) function resides within the portfolio of the Business Controls Office, Operations, providing 1st Line support to all Continuity Risk related activities across the organisation. Business Continuity Management at ING takes a bank-wide approach to identify potential threats, laying the foundations for a framework that safeguards the interest of its key stakeholders, brand and value-creating activities, and ensuring that critical services remain available in the event of a significant disruptive event.

What are you going to do? You will be…
Supporting the ongoing implementation of Prudential Standard CPS230 across the bank, pivoting from general recovery considerations towards the principles of absorption and adaption
Navigating complexity of policies, including evolving regulatory and compliance requirements, both locally and globally
Supporting the implementation of the BCM Framework across the bank
Facilitating BCM program governance activities, including submissions to NFRC and relevant Steering Committees
Conducting assurance activities across BCM program components, including review and challenge of recovery strategies and plans, both internally and for third parties
Providing specialist input to a wide range of operational risk practices, including E2E risk assessments, third party service reviews, and product reviews
Coordinating training and awareness events, ensuring all staff with specific business continuity responsibilities are trained to fulfil their assigned roles
What are we looking for? Someone who has…
Previous experience in a Business Continuity or Information Risk Management role – either gained within industry or within a consultancy environment – ideally you will have had exposure to CPS230 or a working knowledge of this new standard effective January 2024
Understanding of regulatory and compliance regimes associated with business continuity and information security
Analytical thinking, able to breakdown raw information and undefined problems into specific, workable components that in-turn clearly identifies the issues at hand
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral – with the confidence and ability to present to senior management with advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Working knowledge of basic information technology concepts, including cloud services with excellent work planning and organisational skills
Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills across a range of levels of senior management
