About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to complement our sales teams and drive MICE Business. In this role, you will report and work closely with the Assistant Director of Sales to grow the MICE segments and contribute towards growth within the company. Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential for success in this role. This is both a strategic and hands on role and requires interstate travel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Achieve targeted financial goals
Relationship building with key clients and developing new clients
Maintain existing relationships and accounts
Sourcing new business
Preparing and following up on quotes, proposals and contracts
Conduct interstate sales trips as agreed with the DOS
Conduct site inspections
Contribute ideas and initiatives to support business objectives
Skills & Experience:
At least 3 year's successful experience in a 4- or 5-star CBD hotel in a Business Development Role
Experience of interstate travel
A proven sales success within the industry
Be well presented, confident and professional in your approach
Understand and support revenue management principles
Have a strong understanding of industry trends and ability to adapt readily
