We're also an independent national energy solutions provider with a 7,000 strong client list across the range of Government, Enterprise and SMB sectors. 

We offer three core services. 

Energy Buying – Famous for our Reverse Auctions, we drive down energy prices and provide clients with market-leading rates. 

Energy Management – Lead by data, our technology solutions help identify emissions clients can prevent and money they should be saving.

Net Zero for least cost – Our green options, strategies and advice are designed to reduce our clients' carbon, not their profits. 

About the role 

We're searching for a Business Development Manager /Account  who doesn't just sell. But will work alongside our clients to come up with innovative solutions and grow solid partnerships. The position has a fantastic base salary & uncapped commission. 

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional who'll meet service delivery standards in-line with the company's defined objectives and seize any opportunity to help steer the company's future direction and growth. 

Energy experience is needed. You'll know about the energy retail markets and preferably have a background in energy retailing or have worked at an energy broker.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage new customers.
  • Create a sales pipeline from strong marketing lead generation 
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis, and present findings to the sales team.
  • Regularly meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone.
  • Identify areas of demand, marketing channels and opportunities within the market.
  • Provide detailed information to potential customers about our products and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, existing customers, key personnel and decision-makers.
  • Work with the team to improve business processes.
  • Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Attend internal seminars, webinars and events.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the market.
  • Plan sales campaigns.

About You

You have:

  • Strong business development and sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Proven success in developing new markets.
  • Good interpersonal skills, you can build and manage strong customer relationships.
  • Exemplary communication skills, you can communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation & persuasion skills.
  • A proactive and determined approach to finding new business.
  • A confident and dynamic personality with a positive outlook.
  • An ability to multi-task effectively and take initiative.
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working with CRMs and Microsoft Office products.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years' prior energy industry.
