This company creates project management software for people who design and make our built environment for the AEC (architects, engineers, construction designers). Their mission is to give our users #moretimefordesign through our product. They have been making software for our customers since 1999 — which was originally an on-premises application but now a pure cloud SaaS product built on Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. They are currently the preferred software for our industry in Australia with over 12,000 users in our community. They have been growing that community globally, and have an office and teammates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Christchurch as well as the UK with new customers on five continents.

Job Description

THE JOB

Conduct thorough needs analysis through discovery We're looking for a self-motivated, high integrity individual and team player who shares our passion for innovation and everything digital. You'll be working with industry thought leaders and surrounded by smart and driven people who are passionate about taking on new challenges together. You're a strong fit for this role if you have a sharp, commercial mind that takes solutions approach to solve complex client problems. You are used to selling into the Director and C-Level of large, complex organizations with a mid to long sales cycle, managing multiple stakeholders and pulling together complex technical solutions.

This role will provide the successful candidate with professional growth and a real opportunity for career progression within our commercial function:

Identify and qualify prospects through a combination of outbound (events, webinars, trade shows, marketing campaigns) and inbound activity (trial follow up, RFI’s, referrals etc.)
processes and research and demonstrating good questioning and listening techniques.
Use a consultative approach to contact decision makers and understand their unique pain points.
Generate new opportunities by bringing awareness of the Synergy solution to the market.
Develop new client relationships and leverage existing and past client relationships to build and manage a sustained pipeline of opportunities.
Develop proposals, respond to RFP's and conduct high-quality online sales presentations for prospective customers.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to meet quarterly/annual quota requirements including call activity.
Manage and maintain quality account, contact and opportunity activity in the CRM and supporting systems.
Actively engage with the sales and marketing organisations to drive market feedback, competitor activity and business development data.
Previous experience selling in challenging environments or economic conditions (new category selling, early stage or hyper growth businesses, downturns)

ABOUT YOU

You've got previous experience with B2B software systems.
You have experience of quota carrying B2B software or technology sales experience, preferably in SaaS.
You have demonstrated experience in hitting and exceeding your targets is assisting the acquisition of new clients.
You’re a team player and have great communication skills.
You're highly motivated and driven to excel, you thrive in a fast-growing, quickly changing environment.
You're results-driven and interested in being part of a fast-paced sales environment.
You've experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles- demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management.
You're able to thrive in a growth environment - the ability to move quickly, strategically, and superb tactical execution.
You're skilled in virtual presentations, online web demos and remote sales processes.
You’ve got strong Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and knowledge of CRM systems.
If you have previous knowledge of the AEC space that's a bonus.
