Ocean Infinity is seeking a Business Development Manager to build robust client business relations within the Australian and New Zealand renewables and Geotechnical sectors.

Division / Department: Commercial

Reports to: Business Developer Manager Asia

What will you do:
Build and maintain client business relations in the appointed region and sectors;
Use these relations to gather information about future client investment, activities and possible projects;
Build client knowledge related to key clients and their needs and demands aiming to deliver what the client needs;
Inform the clients about Ocean Infinity’s and Geowynd’s capabilities and possibilities to improve efficiency by using Ocean Infinity as business partner with regards to survey and inspection requirements and follow Ocean Infinity in the transition from autonomous operations within the renewables segment;
Create the clients’ trust in Ocean Infinity and Geowynd and open up for and gain frame agreements for future delivery;
Overall responsibility to expand customer base and increase profitable sales within the appointed geographic region for Ocean Infinity and Geowynd;
Implement Business Development activities within assigned region through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on Ocean Infinity’s competitive strengths to serve the customer’s needs resulting in execution of definitive sales agreements;
Support the Chief Commercial Officer in developing business plans and strategies for appointed region that are aligned with Ocean Infinity and Geowynd objectives;
Manage the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through contract completion;
Lead deal structuring, pricing and all other proposal development activities as the sales team’s primary proposal interface with projects, operations, risk management and other functional groups as required;
Lead deal strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals;
Support Chief Commercial Officer with direct customer negotiations as required;
Assist Chief Commercial Officer in identifying new opportunities and creating Business Development analysis for the assigned region;
Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base;
Work with development of marketing material to promote new products and services for business growth;
Work with other departments to allocate appropriate assets within appointed region and segment to establish operational efficiency.

Who you are:
Relevant education to understand the principles of marketing and sales in combination with operational experience from the offshore industry, geotechnics and geophysics;
At least 5 additional years of relevant experience;
Residency and/or work visa eligibility for Australia.
Solid understanding of customer requirements and market dynamics;
Experience and knowledge from offshore geotechnical industry; products/services and markets;
Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy;
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
Strong communication skills;
Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
Ability to work well in a team and independently;
Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet;
