About the Role:
We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to support and promote the development and delivery of effective, patient and customer focused business development within our Queensland cancer services (specifically radiation oncology, haematology and medical oncology), whilst working closely with the Site Managers. The BDM will identify activities to support business growth with a primary focus on building GP, specialist and local community awareness of our Icon Cancer Centres, specifically North of Brisbane and North Qld.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Actively market our Icon Cancer Centre services to key specialists.
- Development and implementation of business development plans.
- Identify areas of need to develop services and products that will attract activity.
- Maintain monthly activity pipeline report to ensure current and future KPI’s/Targets are met.
- Maintain detailed information on existing referral sources and provide regular reports on trends in referrals, including appropriate action to address any negative trends.
- Contribute to the development of the division’s strategic and operational plan.
- Contribute to the overall organisational information on market and competitor’s activities and publish outcomes.
- Support the State Manager and Site Managers to ensure effective recruitment strategies are in place to grow and attract key specialities/specialists in line with Icon Cancer Centre strategy.
- Improve patient referrals by promotion of individual medical practitioners and services, including introductions and establishment of forums to build relationships with referrers or potential referrers.
- In collaboration with Icon’s Brand & Communication team, ensure first class multi-channelled marketing strategies are in place for Icon services and referrers.
- Improve professional networks with doctors, other health service providers and appropriate organisations through joint promotional activities, social programs and educational programs to attract and recruit doctors and patient referrals.
- Lead the business development planning and local execution for the promotion and launch of new service initiatives, working collaboratively with Brand & Communication team to develop and execute supportive campaigns and collateral.
Highly Desired:
Experience with business development strategies within a private healthcare environment specifically Oncology.
Evidence of success in initiating/facilitating business growth strategies.
Proven sales and negotiations experience which is data driven and achieves outcomes in line with targets and budgets.
Success in identifying new opportunities and developing new markets in line with organisational strategy.
Experience in the Health Sector, Marketing or Sales.
Mandatory:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a Health related discipline or equivalent experience
A current open driver’s licence.
