The Business Development Manager – Construction and Projects will develop mutually beneficial relationships with influential decision makers and key stakeholders within Commercial, Private and Government Clients across Building and Construction, Facilities, Property, Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial sectors. Utilising the latest in Industry Leads, Resources, BD Software and other technology sources, you will search out and monitor opportunities, network with established clients and cultivate relationships to enhance this company’s position as a preferred business partner and supplier. With an Iconic Profile and Full Spectrum of Services in its sector, you will provide guidance in specification solutions, technical and safety compliance, facilitation planning and through life operational support.

The Business Development Manager – Construction and Projects will be integral to this Group of Companies’ Business Development and Marketing activities to effectively grow its existing business profile and customer base and further enhance its industry prominence. This will involve networking throughout multiple industry sectors across, construction, mining, manufacturing, property, assets and facilities management, achieving referral leads, analysing competition and liaising internally across all departments to selectively target desirable opportunities and projects. Your mandate will be to apply your initiative, intuitive flair for ideas, innovation and a strategic approach to generating relationships, building rapport, prioritising opportunities and working with department heads to formulate winning solutions; then following through to convert opportunities into new business.

The successful candidate will likely have local Australian experience in Technical B2B Solution Selling and Negotiation at both strategic and operational levels. Your abilities in leveraging relationships and engaging with client networks in environments of a more technical nature, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to providing consultative guidance and functioning influentially will set you apart. Some understanding of building methodology, industry, manufacturing, engineering, mining, construction, property and facilities management within Australia will be well regarded.
