BDM - Electronic Security | New Projects, Service & Maintenance and Monitoring services Sales across sectors

Is a well established Security Provider on an International and Australian level who have both a sizeable Physical / Manpower and Monitoring services business, who are looking to uplift the sales of their Electronic Security business unit. Aiming for more project sales revenue in the design, install, service and maintenance as well as monitoring of cutting-edge electronic security solutions.
Services range from CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Access Controls, Biometrics and Intercom Systems used in a wide range of industries, from Retail, Commercial, Defence, Transportation, Financial Services, Education and Healthcare and IT / Data Centres.
Your new role
As the Business Development Manager for the organisation you will be tasked with leveraging opportunities from existing relationships across the Physical / Manpower and Monitoring services business to win projects as a systems integrator for installation and modernisation projects in Electronic Security, as well as Service Maintenance Contracts tagged onto those projects, and / or picking up other contractors' annuity service revenue line at re-tender.
The target customer base could range from project sales in the build environment, targeting Commercial Construction and Engineering companies, through to Property Owners, Landlords and Facilities Management and as wide as industry verticals from Retail, Defence, Transportation, Financial Services, Education and Healthcare - mostly from cross and upsell opportunities with existing customers and relationships.
Sales lifecycle can be long and complex, chasing work from key decision makers across different SBU's and stages of a sales lifecycles to win multi-million dollar deals.
What you'll need to succeed
A technical business development / sales management background is required, preferably with a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering technical knowledge
Previous experience in Electronic Security is beneficial, with technical sales in Security,
Building Management Systems or Access Control
A Security Licence / certification highly desirable
Knowledge of both Service & Maintenance Contract revenue negotiation as well as revenue generation from new and modernisation projects
