Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the sales of products across Queensland. Your ability to articulate the ABB offering from a strategic, customer and industry perspective will help convert business opportunities into positive results. This role can be based anywhere within the State of Queensland and accepting applications across Queensland.
Your responsibilities
Selling products to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for Motors & Generators Business Line
Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs and promote customer understanding of full product and services offering
Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques
Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers
Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration
Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, and supporting collection and project management activities when needed
Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager
Your background
Minimum 10 years of experience in New Business acquisition and Business Development in the Electrical / Mechanical Industrial Segment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong consultation and negotiation skills in bid no bid issues
Understanding and use of appropriate sales techniques
