Business Development Manager – NSW
The Position
Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies are looking to appoint a motivated Business Development Manager to oversee our strategic growth in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Due to unprecedented growth in Australia and Globally, we are seeking an BDM who is self-motivated, and is willing to travel around the state as needed. You will revel in the challenges of taking an innovative New Generation Building materials product to the market.
About the role
Preferably based in Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong or South Coast of NSW, as the face of the company in NSW you will have the ability to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The role encompasses business development through forging strong relationships with existing clients while seeking out new opportunities from a wide range of potential customers. The goal is to drive sustainable growth through enhancing our presence in the market, the increased sales will establish the company as the premium solution in the outdoor Infrastructure market.
Responsibilities
Actively identify business opportunities within NSW in both the Custom Build and Power Industry divisions.
Identifying and qualifying / quantifying leads and opportunities to turn into quotes.
Promote the company’s products/services through presentation and conferences.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Present to engineering consultants and local governments to assist in growing product development and establish specification in projects.
Develop and forecast growth strategies for both financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Assist in Project Contract Negotiations, ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines.
Using the companies CRM maintain contacts and records of enquiries, sales and pipeline etc.
The territory encompasses NSW so travel is a prerequisite within the prescribed territory, plus some travel within other Australian states and overseas for meetings will be as required.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications
All Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Sales experience desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of the Local Council, State and Federal Government construction market, along with the General Civil construction market, and an understanding of the contract and tendering processes is desirable but not essential.
Construction and engineering knowledge or background will be desirable but not essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge in MS Office and CRM software.
Willingness to travel extensively within NSW or as requested
