Job Description
We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent full-time role based at our head office in Clayton, Melbourne.
Position responsibilities will include:
Responsible to manage the sales pipeline of our entire product portfolio of solutions covering hardware, software, services to assigned group of Vehicle Importers (OEM's) in AU/NZ.
Identify trends and customer needs/pain points in order to build a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term business opportunities in accordance with companies targets for profitable growth.
Take a lead role in developing new business proposals and presentation that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
Maintain and nurture customer relationships, whilst communicating customer expectations and feedback to company leadership. Monitor and track metrics for 360 view of customer
Achieve year-on-year profitable growth. Monitor and track metrics (i.e., Projects/programs, proposals, progress, financial, etc.) and provide regular reporting to Direct Manager
Creating and aligning an overall business development strategy including sales, profitability targets together with reporting manager
Creating a deep understanding of customers business, pain points, future requirements, new vehicle launch road map and identify potential opportunities, which are well documented and maintained in companies CRM system.
Prepare proposals, quotations and negotiate pricing and other commercial terms considering business-value analysis that enable company targets for sales and profitability
Qualifications
We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work autonomously, grow the business and establish effective relationships with customers.
You should be able to demonstrate the following:
Attention to detail with a strong sales mindset.
Good record keeping and follow-up of tasks.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening, teaching, presenting, etc.
Financial understanding of business metrics.
Ability to translate technical information/processes to easy-to-understand customer solutions.
Result focused on over-achieving targets
Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to work self-directed
Persuasion power: capacity to convince the involved stakeholders
Strong strategic, analytical and organization skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Collaborative, win-as-a team attitude
Essential
Significant experience in a BDM or similar solutions-based sales role
Proven track record of consistent sales achievement
Proven solution-based sales skills
Experience selling to C-Level, incl. Ability to build and present executive-level slide decks and present them to your customers
Strong business development background and experience of opening new accounts.
Proficient in MS Office.
Proficient in using a CRM system (Preferably Salesforce)
Desirable
Automotive OEM experience - senior role selling to an OEM or a senior internal service role at an OEM or OEM dealer
IT knowledge (Products or services)
