Your new role awaits:

Coates currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Representative based at Mackay to join our Sales team. This role is responsible for finding and developing new business opportunities and growing revenue from a portfolio of designated key customers within a defined territory.

  • Promote a Safety First - Zero Harm safety culture
  • Contribute to achieving the Company’s grow share of wallet by deeply understanding the market, the customer, delivering winning solutions, winning every deal and fiercely outperforming the competition
  • Spend maximum time in the field – targeting and tactfully engaging with key customers and decision makers, questioning and deeply understanding the customers' business and needs, presenting winning solutions, maximising share of wallet at every opportunity
  • Contribute to the development and drive the actions defined within Account Management Plans for the customer portfolio to cut through competitors and maximise revenue
  • Apply approved pricing structures in the delivery of winning solutions and achievement of sales objectives.
  • Ensure all solutions presented to customers reflect commercially favourable terms and conditions and are consistent with Coates Hire’s strategic direction
  • Effectively pursue all new business / sales leads and opportunities
  • Actively seek out intelligence about business trends, the market, competitor activities and threats, and business development opportunities to drive effectiveness in account management plans

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be a proven self-starter and demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to provide profitable solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Be confident to work within a fast-paced environment and deliver results
  • Excellent business planning, strategy development and communication skills
  • High level time management skills
  • Excellent communicator enjoy engaging with people at all levels
  • Strong negotiating skills

Salary: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
