POSITION OVERVIEW
You will report to the SVP, International Growth Markets and is responsible for the P&L of the business and leading the overall business strategy and execution for the ANZ Region. You will drive significant top-line and bottom-line growth of ANZ business and in addition working with Commercial, Finance, Sourcing, Operations, HR and Technical teams, to implement sustainable measures to profitably grow the P&L and improve operational cash flow in the region. You will have direct responsibility for commercial organization and dotted line responsibility for Operations and R&D, driving the development and execution of a business strategy in line with H.B. Fuller’s strategic plan and organization structure. You will also operate within a matrix structure and have indirect (dotted line) responsibility for all other functions which will report directly to HHC/CA/EA functional heads. You will work with other GBU Segment leaders and Functional Directors to ensure that the proper responsibility and accountability are maintained in relation to where a specific account will fall.

PRIMARY DUTIES
You will drive consistent, sustainable, profitable growth and development of the business through positive planning deployment and management of a dedicated team of people in ANZ.
Develop and execute the annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan for the ANZ business.
Conceptualize and implement sales, operations and market strategies for the business through the leadership team.
Set business performance goals and develop accountability plans which ensure alignment throughout the various layers in the organizational structure.
Build relationships with major customers in support of the regional business plans and provide support to facilitate profit growth and enable customer retention.
Develop & execute sales and marketing strategies which deliver profitable top line growth in accordance with the strategic plan.
Develop & execute new market entry plans for Engineering Adhesives segments.
Develop & execute market share expansion plans for HHC and Construction Adhesives business units.
Create manufacturing strategies optimize costs while delivering marketing and sales plans.
Ensure capital expenditure decisions have a business accreditive business case and align with strategic business plans.
Negotiate high level contracts and manage corporate risk.
Partner with the North America/Corporate support functions on partnership agreements, rebates and contracts related to human resources and environmental, health and safety initiatives.
Coach and build a top-level management team and through the line managers, recruit and develop personnel at all levels to meet short and long-term business objectives.
Continuously work to identify and realize competitive advantage for the business in ANZ Region. Develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive near term and longer range strategic business plans to support sales, profit and cash flow objectives in order to build long term competitive advantage and create conditions to attract further strategic investment in human resources, physical capital and acquisitions in line with the longer-term strategy.
Actively manage team performance:
Establish performance criteria for direct teams and team members (objectives and metrics).
Build processes to track performance objectives (e.g. sales, margins, expenses, growth, attrition, DPO, DSO, inventory, SIFOT etc.) using the H.B. Fuller Goals & Objectives. process to ensure desired behaviors/results are achieved. Build a culture of accountability opposite individual and collective goals and commitments outlined in annual budgets, quarterly outlooks and 5-year strategic plans.
Coach and guide team and team members towards attainment of goals and objectives.
Use H.B. Fuller performance appraisal system (PPA) for employee performance management.
Focus on Organizational Development working with HR ensuring relevant people are in the right position for skill set.
Create and manage annual Sales, Profits, Working Capital, CAPEX and Expense budgets.
Establish and implement team processes and procedures, administer and facilitate team meetings. Foster open exchange of ideas and promote a sense of urgency.
Provide timely sales, margin and profit analysis and reporting as requested.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Primarily accountable for business in ANZ region. Accountable for managing sales, margins, working capital / cash flow, capex and operating expense budget. Decisions are to be made within organizational policy constraints and in collaboration with functional management.
BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for delivery of Revenue, Operating Income, EBITDA and Cash Flow goals of the fiscal entity in ANZ, as defined in budgetary process.
EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED
Will have direct responsibility for all sales /commercial headcount in ANZ and, in line with H.B. Fuller’s policy, will have indirect (dotted line) responsibility for all other functions which will report directly to Global functional heads.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Will have the ability to develop effective professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Will be able to exert strong influence on decisions affecting the general business. Will participate in solving problems with other departments or with outside organizations. Will deal with people in all departments across the entire organization. Contacts will be made via telephone, face to face and electronically. Disclosure of confidential data accessible to this job would have adverse effects internally and externally and would result in major losses to business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
10+ years’ experience in role as a business leader
Strong commercial ability
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Excellent leadership, strategic, organizational and teamwork skills.
