This is a very exciting role and will suit a dynamic and experienced person with experience in a school setting. The Business Director/Board Secretary will demonstrate an eye for detail, strong accounting and finance skills, be a team player and display well developed organisational skills. Capacity to multitask, respect deadlines, enjoy managing projects and having strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

Reporting to the Principal and Board and working with a dedicated leadership team, the successful candidate will have:
Key criteria
- Comprehensive financial and accounting knowledge (CPA preferred), preferably in a school setting.
- Strong strategic skills in planning the College’s future initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with college stakeholders and external providers.
- Strong working knowledge of the legal, governance, financial and administrative challenges facing schools.
- Appropriate experience in industry or education (education preferred).
- Excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of accounting software and practices.
- Capacity to serve as Board Secretary.
The Role
- Budgeting and preparation of high-quality financial reports
- Providing strategic and financial advice to the College leadership and Board
- Ensuring compliance with all legal, educational and financial imperatives
- Acting in the role of Board Secretary
- Grant applications and management
- Overseeing the business and administrative operations of the College
- ICT
- Project Management
- Human Resources
- Facility, Property and Grounds Management and Maintenance
- Cleaning and First Aid Support

The position commences as soon as possible, and the salary range will reflect the skills, expertise and experience of the successful applicant.
