Business Group Leader - Water Process & Systems

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Group Leader to lead our Brisbane-based Water Process & Systems division. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a dynamic team that specializes in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for both government and private sector clients. As a Business Group Leader, you will oversee all aspects of the group, including strategic planning, project management, and client relations. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the communities they serve.

The role offers the unique opportunity to blend your skills in leading and developing people, excellence in client engagement, successfully pursuing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects and driving excellence in business performance for your group.

You will work closely with the South Queensland General Manager, Operations Manager and Market Leaders across multidisciplinary projects, bids, and proposals to develop and deepen GHD's presence and market share across the diverse sectors that we operate in.

• Provide leadership to the Business Group in line with GHD's values and our purpose
• Develop and realise business opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth of the group's revenue
• Manage the Business Group's commercial performance
• Provide vision and direction for the South Queensland Water Process & Systems business that links with the broader business' market strategy, while supporting the ambitions of the South Queensland offering
• Be well-connected and influential, building and developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners
• Build effective relationships with other Business Group Leaders, Market & Service Line Leaders regionally, nationally and across the globe.

What you will bring to the team:

• You will have relevant tertiary qualifications
• Significant professional experience, ideally gained within an engineering consultancy
• Demonstrated technical capability across public sector planning, infrastructure delivery and private sector business models, with demonstrated experience in delivering projects from proposal to completion
• Effective & proven business development, networking, and client relationship management skills, with the ability to develop lasting client relationships based on trust and delivery excellence
• A track record of leading a team of specialists with a wide range of skills and experience and the ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.
