The responsibilities of a Business Manager include administration support, management of financial and human resources, and monitoring of school facilities. Demonstration of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential to the Business Manager role, as well as practical experience in administration, financial processes and workforce management. The Business Manager reports to the principal and liaises with deputy principals and heads of department.
About the Role:
As the Business Manager your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate autonomously in the provision of business services to the school, in an environment that at times exhibits a degree of complexity and frequently requires the interpretation of information and adaptation of processes.
- Assist the principal in the management of the school budget and daily finances.
- Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support including the preparation of reports, correspondence, the delivery of routine and complex administrative and support services, and the management of support staff.
- Support the leadership team in managing human resources in an everchanging, complex environment.
- Use sound knowledge of the departmental administrative policies, practices and procedures used in schools, particularly human resources and financial processes
- Support the vision of the school to deliver the highest educational services through the allocation of school resources
