An opportunity exists for permanent Business Manager (AO4) to join Currumbin Community Special School on a permanent basis. We are seeking a vibrant person who can adapt to the busyness of a P-12 campus and oversee the daily service delivery of the team (equivalent number of teaching and non-teaching staff). About the School:
Currumbin Community Special School provides quality education for Queensland students with a verified intellectual disability and possible secondary impairments including hearing, vision, physical and Autism Spectrum disorders. About the Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Operate autonomously in the provision of business services to the school, in an environment that at times exhibits a degree of complexity and frequently requires the interpretation of information and adaptation of processes.
- Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support (e.g. preparation of reports, and correspondence) and identify problems, conduct research, seek expert advice, recommend solutions.Undertake the day to day supervision and management of school support staff, including monitoring workloads and performance
- Working closely with the Principal, in relation to day to day supervision and management of the administrative team including affirming effective performance and being proactive with performance improvement.
- Support the Principal with the preparation and administration of the budget, undertaking day to day financial activities.
- Monitor and provide advice to the Principal on facilities and ground maintenance.
- Build networks with other Business Managers, staff and community representatives to ensure the provision of corporate services meets best practice, and act as a role model for talent within the network.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
