Form of work Our client's Marine Rescue Implementation (MRI) is a part of a $43.38m funding commitment from the Government to commence an integrated marine rescue service and deliver a vessel replacement program over the forward estimates. The MRI Program has been established to lead the marine rescue integration to bring together the services of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association and the Volunteer Marine Rescue Association Queensland into a single marine rescue service for the Queensland boating public. The Program is in the pre-transition phase and has 16 projects under a renewed program delivery and governance framework. In order to achieve these deliverables and determine milestones and deliverables, MRI is looking to engage three experienced Project Managers.
This is an inital contract starting ASAP till 31 March 2024 with potential to extend, based in Albion in Brisbane's Inner-North.
The scope of the Project Manager roles will include, but is not limited to:
In collaboration with the Program Manager and PMO, develop project plans and other project management documentation to set projects up for success.
Ensuring plans and approaches are achievable and are utilising resources across the program effectively.
Applying effective leadership to deliver project success.
Ensuring good practice project management discipline is being applied to the projects, including risk management.
Ensuring effective communication across projects, and with supporting program functions, to manage interdependencies appropriately.
Developing and maintaining project management artefacts.
Effective reporting to the Project Steering Committees and Program Steering Committee.
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 5+ years Project Managing large and complex Projects concurrently through to successful delivery.
