About the Role
A Perth based opportunity for an experienced Business Relationship Manager has become available within BOQ Group! The role of a Business Relationship Manager is to originate, retain and manage a portfolio of clients. The client group in BOQ is defined as mid-market and SME customers. This role achieves growth results and manages relationships with risk and staff.
The purpose of the Business Relationship Manager is to run a portfolio, taking into account the following key areas:
Customer management
Writing new to bank credit submissions introduced by BDM’s and/or self-sourced
Retain existing quality customer files
Effectively manage customers issues and concerns
Maintain a disciplined customer calling program
Retain and build advocacy with existing quality customers
Risk management
Undertake reviews of customers in portfolios
Identify and manage weak and deteriorating credit
Meet reporting, review and covenant requirements
Maintain satisfactory compliance standards
Adhere to BOQ policies and origination standards
Ability to achieve sales results
Achieve lending growth, revenue and cross-sell targets
On boarding of new to bank clients by:
Working with BDM’s on originating, winning and settling new to bank prospects
Engage customers, referral partners including branches and third parties who have capability to introduce new clients directly
Proactively seek new lending opportunities and cross-sell from existing customer base
Achieve sustainable and profitable growth
Leadership skills
Ensure staff are adequately equipped to undertake their role
Manage and coach employees
Develop staff expectations, manage and coach to these
Support staff in the development of their career and with career aspirations
Provide leadership within team
About you
As the successful candidate, you are distinguished from your peers due to your well-developed relationship management experience and passion for exceeding client expectations. Further, you will demonstrate a background of over 3 years in commercial banking.
You will demonstrate a professional approach at all times, be able to communicate strongly and openly to both individuals and groups, think outside the square and have exceptional stakeholder engagement capability. Above all else, you will be a self-directed, motivated team player who is passionate about providing a better client experience.
