The Business Service Specialist role is critical to making this happen by providing market leading service that meets the financial needs of Business customers. This includes identifying needs and establishing financial solutions for the customer over the phone, email and outbound calling. The Business banking career pathway after this leads into lending which can be continued to be done virtually, or for face to face roles. Of course there are a lot of other opportunities at ANZ as well.

In this role, you would have the opportunity to:
- Help Kiwi’s start their Business, setting them up for success with our Banking services and accessing market leading insights
- Provide an exceptional customer experience via our virtual channels: Phone, Email and Online Store
- Receive calls, respond to customer emails and proactively contact Business customers assisting with their banking needs;
- Build positive relationships with Business customers by ensuring their banking experience with us is easy, efficient and accurate; and
- Retain customers through proactive calling for Term deposit roll overs, high balance accounts & promoting channels of choice
- Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues
Taipito kōrero mō te Tūranga – Role Details
Start Date: Monday 24 July, 2023
Training: You will receive comprehensive training to ensure you are fully equipped to succeed as a Business Service Specialist at ANZ. Training includes Service (July - September), Personal Banking (October), Business Service (October – November) with a mix of classroom and on-phone learning.
Shifts: Variety of shifts available; Monday – Friday and Tuesday – Saturday
Working Hours: Starting between the hours of 8:00am and 11:00am during the week and Saturday fixed 9:00am to 5:00pm, working 7.5 hours per day, a total of 37.5 hours per week
Role Location: Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington, Ōtautahi / Christchurch, Whakatū / Nelson, Kirikiriroa / Hamilton, Rotorua and Tauranga.
Role Type: Permanent, must be a NZ Resident or NZ or AUS Citizen to apply.
We offer flexibility at ANZ, and the role is either located in one of our buildings full time in these locations, or we also offer flexible working with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office and the rest of the week working from home providing the set up is suitable.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Between 2-3 years’ experience within the Business or Finance sector, or specific study to support this
- Natural desire to deliver an exceptional service experience every time and be capable of connecting with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to learn in a dynamic environment; and
- Strong organisational skills and a resilient nature means you’ll be able to stay positive even when the pressure may be on
- Experience in Banking and/or Contact Centres is advantageous but not essential
