Come join Sydney’s favourite family-owned recycling and resource recovery company Breen Resources. Due to our growing business, we are looking to expand our Operations team with a brand new role. 

Role Overview:

As a Business Systems Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining an in-house Business Management System (BMS). This system is tailored to capture the unique processes and practices of the business, encompassing manuals, policies, procedures, templates, forms, and checklists essential to the business's needs. Additionally, this role involves serving as a business analyst, collaborating closely with business leaders to collect, analyse, and present key business data.

Key Responsibilities: Business Management System (BMS):

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, map, and document specific needs and workflows of business processes.

Contribute to the design and implementation of the BMS.

Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate users on BMS functionalities.

Provide ongoing support to users, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving system-related issues.

Customise the system in collaboration with the management team to align with evolving business requirements.

Implement changes or updates to enhance system efficiency and user experience.

Manage the integration of procedures, policies, templates, forms, and checklists into the BMS.

Ensure accurate version control and accessibility of essential documents.

Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive documents and data.

Ensure the system aligns with ISO certification requirements and internal policies.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the system.

Analytics:

Collect and analyse information about business processes, systems, and workflows.

Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and document current processes.

Identify areas for improvement and propose and evaluate potential solutions.

Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to guide informed decisions.

Create detailed documentation and process flow diagrams.

Breen Resources - is a proudly Australian family-owned Waste Management company. Our Recycling and Disposal Centre is based at Kurnell, Southern Sydney, along with a head office in the city CBD. Our focus is on construction and demolition waste such as soils, brick & concrete and general building refuse. “We believe in recovering as much material as possible to create resources from natural sources for future generations to use and to allow our environment to thrive.”

Now is a very exciting time to join our business with expansion of the company across Sydney, a new CBD office opening soon and the beginning of our Marang Parklands project which will see us give back 42 hectares of land to the community. This will consist of native parklands, an outdoor amphitheatre, picnic facilities, a giant slide and look out point, walking tracks and trials, environmentally sensitive landscaping and 7 playing fields that will be used by soccer, rugby league, AFL and cricket. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in implementing and supporting business management systems.

Familiarity with document control practices and procedures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
