This trainee position provides a broad range of administrative support functions to the Leadership and Workforce Development Team of this busy state government department. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and develop new skills and capabilities within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
About the Role:
The position is responsible for performing a range of administrative tasks to support training and workforce development initiatives, not limited to but including:
- Performing administrative tasks such as speaking on the phone, preparing and sending standard written communications, maintaining databases and registers
- Supporting the logistics related to training including booking in staff to courses, following up with participants and maintaining calendars
- Communicating and liaising effectively with managers and staff to assist in the professional operation of the area
- Accurate reporting of training outcomes
- Simultaneously completing a Certificate III in Business
About you:
- Has great attention to detail
- General knowledge of Microsoft office
- Mature minded, well-presented and well spoken
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- Friendly with a positive can do attitude
- Strong work ethic and commitment to a 12 month Traineeship
- A great team worker with good organisation skills
- Effective time management and strong communication skills
