About our Unit:

The Canberra City campus is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for UNSW to establish a new campus on a prominent site in the National Capital. UNSW is building on its more than 50 years in Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy by developing a significant new campus on the edge of the CBD. The campus will drive growth, stimulate innovation and demonstrate enduring leadership. UNSW Canberra also undertakes activities through the Public Partnerships and Innovation Hub at Old Parliament House and Canberra City. This position will be required to work across multiple locations to achieve the requirements of the position

About the Role:
Role: Business/Partnerships Manager, UNSW Canberra
Salary: Level 8/9 $112,153 - $138,314 plus 17% Superannuation
Employment type: Full time
Term: Fixed term, 2 years with the possibility of extension
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (this role is based at the UNSW Canberra City Campus but will be required to work across CBR city and Old Parliament House)

The Business/Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining public sector partnerships. This position is the key point of contact between the Faculty, the public sector and industry clients.

To be successful in this position you will support the renewal and transformation of the public sector and its leadership in Australia and achieve the objectives to develop teaching, forge partnerships, foster leadership, support inquiry and translate research that shapes, grows and credentials capability within the public sector.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • extensive experience working in the public sector or developing products with APS partners.
  • proven knowledge and experience supporting the development of flexible and industry-focussed masters, graduate and micro-credential teaching programs in higher education settings.
  • demonstrated success applying entrepreneurial and innovative principles with public sector audiences.
  • experience developing and managing client relationship systems with public sector clients.
  • experience preparing and managing Category 2-3 applications through Austender.
  • high level interpersonal and management skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with academics, members of the community and government.
  • strong writing skills for university, public sector, grant and administrative purposes.

Eligibility:

The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.

The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra City Campus and at times Old Parliament House site. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
