Sarina Russo Apprenticeships has a Client in Northcote, who currently have an exciting position open for an apprentice Butcher to join their team.
As an apprentice you will learn various practices and principles including: cut, trim and shape standard cuts of meat to size, process carcasses into primary and secondary cuts, pack and store products for display and sale, order supplies using AUS-MEAT Language, and weigh and check stock on receipt. You will also learn assemble and operate mincers, grinders, mixers, patty-forming or sausage-forming machines, and bandsaws, , prepare marinated meats, value-added and ready-to-cook dishes, and advise customers about alternative cuts, cooking methods, storage requirements and nutritional aspects of meat.
You will also work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher).
To be considered for this position you must be willing to learn, good attitude, punctual, reliable and committed to completing an apprenticeship. Open to all age groups to find the right person.
