Filling a 12-month maternity leave contract, you will join the Commercial (Procurement) team, working across our Mars Wrigley Confectionary sites in Ballarat & Asquith. Your role will be responsible for leading and deploying a range of Commercial strategies across the two factories.
Your key responsibilities will include managing forecast accuracy for quantities to buy ensuring we are driving a customer focused approach in all business forums and processes, and to be responsible for the procurement of packaging across the two sites. You will be able to build strong relationships across both sites, which will assist in the implementation of the Value Leadership program (Cost Out/Value Add).
What are we looking for?
Tertiary qualification or experience in previous buying roles, supply chain or food production
Experience in FMCG industry preferred
Strong customer service and relationship building skills
Broad understanding of procurement function
This role will interact with a variety of associates both in the Australian business as well as overseas.
This role is based in Ballarat but a portion of the role could be performed out of our Melbourne office (split between the two sites) to provide flexibility to the successful candidate.
What will be your key responsibilities?
In conjunction with other functions, develop robust Portfolio Strategies with sister units In Australia and overseas (dependent on the characteristics of each portfolio).
Executing World Class Buying with existing and potential suppliers to ensure we maximize our sourcing footprint
Owning and Managing Supplier Relationships to drive quality, efficiency and consistency of supply.
Managing Business Risk associate with the dynamic nature of our business and changes in the external environment.
Liaise with Internal stakeholders to ensure we are delivering against the business needs for the next 3-5 years
Please note, that due to the connections this role will require some attendance to calls outside of normal business hours.
