We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team based at our Pinkenba office. The purpose of this role is to develop, implement & support regional aftermarket sourcing strategy to ensure safe, quality, and cost competitive goods and services are provided in full and on time to the Australian business.
Job Responsibilities
Supplier relationship management for suppliers servicing the Australian region where an SRM has not been appointed globally.
Develop regional sourcing strategy to support the Australian business and remaining aligned with global category management strategy
Strategic sourcing of new suppliers and products through market analysis and best practice negotiation.
Minimise supplier base where practicable through consolidation and prudent selection and management of suppliers.
Ensure implementation of global category management initiatives within region through stakeholder engagement and enforcing compliance
Act as approver for all new vendor applications ensuring new vendors comply with FLSmidth standards and support regional and global supply strategy.
Work with suppliers to improve SIFOT, safety and quality performance through establishing clear guidelines, KPI’s and expectations.
Develop and realise initiatives to reduce cost to the Australian business and meet savings targets.
Develop, implement and manage supplier agreements (e.g. framework agreements, supply contracts, etc.) for key suppliers.
Provide procurement expertise and knowledge to the procurement function and Australian business.
Provide day-to-day direction and support to the Strategic Buyer developing the incumbents capability and competency to facilitate succession planning.
What you bring
Skilled in stakeholder engagement and supplier relationships.
2+ years’ experience in procurement and vendor management
Extensive knowledge of procurement processes and strategies
Sound understanding of Trade Practice Law and requirements advantageous.
