We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead our thriving flagship store in the bustling heart of Sydney CBD. As a prominent player in the world of specialty coffee, our cafe is known for its premium coffee, delectable take-away food options, and top-notch catering services.

Closed on weekend and public holidays

Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management: Oversee the cafe's day-to-day operations, leading and motivating the cafe team to provide exceptional customer service. Set clear expectations, conduct training sessions, and promote a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and growth.
2. Specialty Coffee Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of specialty coffee and Toby's Estate Coffee offerings. Train staff on coffee preparation techniques, taste profiles, and presentation to ensure consistent excellence in every cup served.
3. Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example and ensure that all customers receive top-notch service and a memorable experience. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns with a professional and customer-centric approach.
4. Food and Beverage Management: Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and maintain high-quality standards for all menu items. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
5. Financial Management: Manage the cafe's financial performance, including budgeting, sales reporting, and cost control measures. Implement strategies to increase revenue, manage expenses, and achieve profitability goals.
6. Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
7. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute effective promotions, events, and marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic, increase customer engagement, and boost sales.
8. Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and sourcing high-quality ingredients and materials at competitive prices.
10. Performance Analysis: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a cafe management role, preferably in a busy cafe or hospitality establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of specialty coffee, coffee equipment, and coffee industry trends.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills to achieve profitability goals.
