Geláre Morley is looking for an experienced Café Manager to join our team. We are located in the Galleria Shopping Centre and have been operating for 16 years. We have experienced continued growth and require the services of an experienced café manager to lead our busy team of casuals.
Operating seven days a week our café is renowned for delivering outstanding service in a busy environment.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to organise daily operations and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in cafés. The successful applicant will be leading a growing team of food, barista, and service team members.
This position is full time, 38 hours per week with a salary range of $66,630 - $69,999 per annum. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, and turn our café into a local favourite for eating, drinking and relaxing.
Responsibilities:
- Set and manage weekly rosters
- Coordinate daily café operations and supervision of staff
- Report to owners daily and where necessary
- Create friendly relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service
- Build team culture and skills through ongoing training and provision of feedback to resolve issues, deliver excellent customer service and ensure productivity
- Generate reports on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses to stay in budget and identify measures to cut waste and expenses
- Ensure café is clean and tidy and staff are working in line with food safety and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards and sanitation requirements.
- Weekly stocktake, rotation and ordering of goods and stock, such as ingredients, coffee, equipment, etc.
- Assist in planning new menus and items based on seasonality and customers' preferences.
- Adhering to Franchise agreement and manuals to ensure high standards achieved and report to Franchisor as required.
- At least 4 years work experience as a Cafe Manager - with further background in cafes and restaurants
- Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and public holidays)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive, motivated and systematic personality
- Able to perform well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, or Marketing) is a plus.
