The purpose of the role:
As our Head Barista (Known internally as Hospitality Lead), you will help to deliver premium customer experiences to our community of members. A day typical day in this role would see you will utilise your hospitality skills across maintaining and owning the cafe. Overseeing bookings, set up and service to our premium service meeting spaces as well as provide additional support to our clubhouse team on the welcome desk as concierge.
Responsibilities:
welcome members and their guests to Hub premium standards
providing additional support to the clubhouse teams by issuing out day passes, welcome guests, coordinate couriers.
Coordinate and deliver consistently amazing serviced meeting, events, and catering experiences following Hub service standards, policies and procedures
Undertake initial and ongoing training with the hospitality team
Oversee stock and loose items management; maintain efficient operational stock levels, minimise and record wastage and breakages, coordinate ordering and liaison with suppliers, process daily invoices, and stocktake as requested
Work proactively and motivate the team to meet and exceed all hospitality revenue and cost targets every day
Maintain excellent functional relationships with suppliers to ensure products are delivered as specified, on-time and as required by the business
Oversee cleanliness and organisation of serviced meeting spaces and café areas
Communicate maintenance, safety and equipment issues to your manager immediately as they arise and follow through until completion
Being the Clubhouse Tech Rep, following easy to use Zoom set ups and Tech instructions.
Making consistently amazing coffee that even the most discerning coffee customer would enjoy;
Looking after our guests in following all prescribed Service Standards at all times;
Overseeing the management of our Service Meeting Spaces - Booking management, turnover, tech, facilities, catering bookings and tours.
Providing assistance to events and meetings, and catering for guests when required;
Required training and experience:
2+ years cafe head barista/supervisor experience
High-standard Barista skills including knowledge of allergies and latte art abilities;
Experience with operational elements of a cafe (Budgets, ordering, stock control)
Hospitality knowledge and enthusiasm for providing the best customer service to members.
A genuine passion for managing client relationships and the ability to analyse, develop and cultivate new business with new and existing members;
You have a keen eye for detail and sweat the small stuff that makes member experiences unique and authentic;
The ability to build strong internal and external relationships, work well in a team and independently;
Strong time management skills and able to juggle competing priorities whilst remaining solutions focused;
Most importantly; a desire to grow and learn with a dynamic, growing and supportive community.
