WHAT YOU’LL DO

Innovation is at the core of what we do and with that in mind we are taking a fresh approach to the way we grow our capability. As our Capability Development Coordinator, you will work closely with Schools, TAFE, and Universities around Australia to coordinate opportunities for career pathways into Ampcontrol.

Based at our head office in Tomago 2322, reporting to our Capability Development Manager, you will be a key part of the Ampcontrol People team that provides support to the broader business.

You will be central to the coordination of a range of development pathways including our Graduate Program, Work Integrated Learning, Work Placement, Internships, Industrial Experience and will be the face and voice of Ampcontrol at Career Days, Expos, and site tours.

No two days will look the same and you will be an integral part of shaping the future skills and capability of Ampcontrol. You will be responsible for delivering outcomes and supporting a diverse range of work including:

  • Working with Career Advisors and Students to facilitate placements and tours
  • Developing solutions for the future capability needs of our innovative teams
  • Coordination of our pathway programs, including our Graduate Program
  • Stakeholder support, mentoring and communication
  • Create and maintain a range of tools, templates, and collateral for use in our activities

Key challenges of this role will include:

  • Development and maintenance of programs
  • Coordinating and administering solutions that meet the businesses needs
  • Identifying, coordinating, and facilitating key initiatives
  • Achieving all the above in an ever-changing environment

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Your drive to get hands on and support development pathways in a fast-paced electrical projects, design and manufacturing environment will be complemented by the following:

  • A genuine interest in supporting the development of people
  • A confident communicator with the ability to adapt to suit the audience
  • Being highly customer oriented and solutions focused
  • Well-developed administrative and computer skills
  • Possess an interest in the development of programs to support students
  • A willingness to learn about the national training system, classifications, competencies and learning practices

EDUCATION

  • Diploma (or higher) qualifications in HR, OD, Business Admin or similar
