About the role
The Car Detailer cleans the inside and outside of the car. This involves washing, rinsing, vacuuming and polishing the vehicle with the use of detergents, hoses and cloths to ensure the car is spotless.
Duties
- Paint correction – Brush Touch up including buffing, cutting and polishing
- Detailing used cars
- Tint removal from vehicles
- Duties may also include applying after care products and assisting with Workshop Controller
Requirements
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- Physically fit
- Friendly personality
- Good communication skills
- The ability to follow instruction from the Supervisor and also work within a small team
- Ample experience following safety precautions and WH&S requirements
- Well presented
- Committed and reliable
- Good time management skills
- A current open drivers licence
- Passionate about the Automotive industry
- Ability to use a buff machine would be advantageous
Work Environment
- Time is spent inside and outside vehicles
- Time is spent in very hot and cold weather
- Must be willing to wear PPE when operating equipment such as wearing gloves and eye/ear protection
- Must be able to work with detergents and chemical solutions
