Caregiver needed for family in Darwin, 0800

We have a fun event taking place next Monday 8th (7.30am-5.30pm) and Tuesday 9th (8am to 7pm) July for a company holding a Conference at the Darwin Convention Centre. They are offering Creche services to their delegates and the childrens ages are 1 x 2yr old (mornings only) & 4 x 6yrs to 12yrs for the full day's. Therefore, we need 1 x carer for the full day and another carer for the morning only to assist with the care of the 2yr old and four other children.

Are you free and available for me to book you in? Its paying $35p/h +Super +free parking. Please let me know asap.

We will be providing the activities and room set up with fun games, activities, puzzles, arts and crafts, story books, toys, movies, music, face painting, dress ups etc. so the carers would be required to actively involve themselves with the children by engaging with them on all levels at all times required. The carers must also:

• greet the parents and their children in a friendly, kind and polite manner and ensure that the parents sign their child/ren into Creche by filling out the sign in/out register at the front desk.
• ensure that nappies are changed in the Mothers room located on site and within a reasonable timeframe or when it becomes evident that a nappy change is required, using the disposable gloves, wipes, creams, nappies provided.

They must also dispose of the soiled nappies in the nappy bin bags and suitable allocated bin provided

• maintain hygiene standards by washing hands regularly, using sanitiser pumps, antibacterial wipes for furniture, toys, equipment
• create a welcoming environment for the children and ensure their safety and well being at all times.
• leave their mobile phones in their bag, if an urgent call needs to be made outside of their morning/afternoon tea or lunch break, then they must advise the Supervisor who will allow the carer time to attend to the urgent call when needed.
• take their own snacks/lunch avoiding allergy causing foods such as nuts, eggs etc. or they can choose to purchase snacks/lunch/refreshments during their breaktimes at one of the food & beverage outlets on site.
