Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Family Development Worker to join the Ceduna office on a full-time term basis.
This role is responsible for:
- Providing support to parents to strengthen their capacity to provide a safe and nurturing family environment.
- Assisting in the development of case plans and maintaining client files, in consultation with case managers.
- Facilitating links for families to improve their access to services and community networks, and sharing information with team members regarding the needs of the parents, children and young people.
- Promoting the development of self-control and problem solving strategies by clients.

We are looking for a vibrant and resourceful individual with the ability to effectively communicate and work with people from diverse professional backgrounds.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate interventions aimed at meeting the needs of clients.
You will demonstrate your understanding of the needs of a diverse range of customers and cultures, and deliver services that meet these needs using initiative, creativity, negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution.
