About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available to be a part of the Aurizon Gladstone team in a fast-paced role as a Gatehouse Operator, where you will utilise your communication and coordination skills to assist in the distribution of all incoming and outgoing cargo.
- Coordinate all receivals and dispatch from the depot
- Complete and coordinate required paperwork
- Liaise with drivers and yard staff
- Use clear and accurate radio communication
- Quality checking of loads prior to exiting boom gate
- Updating of data in various systems
- Participate in gatehouse operations for ships that come in 24/7
About you:
- A working knowledge of Stevedoring, Logistics and / or Road Transport or relevant experience in the transport industry
- Great communication skills with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office with ability to adapt to new systems
- Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to trouble shoot and think on your feet.
- Ability to work Night Shift where required
