The Role & Location:
We are looking for Casual Kitchen Hands/Cleaners to join our Support Services team. We are looking for people who are passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our 96-bed facility in Maryborough. Reporting to the Support Services Supervisor, the support services staff will play a pivotal role in delivering essential services at the highest quality and to tailored to the needs of each and every resident.
What you will do
- Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
- Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
- Dining room services
- Providing excellent personalised service to our residents
- Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards
- Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment and Completion of documentation
- Full and valid working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
- Currently hold and maintain a valid NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) - MANDATORY
- Trade certification or qualifications and experience gained in a similar role within an Aged Care setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes highly regarded but not essential
- Contract Type: Casual Contract
- Hourly Rate: Base Hourly rate between $24.65 up to $26.92 (depending on experience) + Casual Loading +11% Super + Allowances + Paid Overtime.
