About the opportunity and role
TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Screen & Media to join our team of teachers on a casual basis within our Western Sydney Creative Centres (WSCC). The WSCC represent a network of exceptional learning centres aimed at allowing students to express and develop their creative skills exclusively across campuses within Western Sydney.
The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling learners to achieve their desired outcomes.
To be successful in this role you must have: * A Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma in Screen & Media or equivalent in a related field
- Three (3) years post degree or equivalent, relevant and current experience in one or more of the following discipline areas: Screen Audio Production, Video Production and Editing; Camera Operations; 2D and/or 3D Animation; Interactivity and Interface Design; AR/VR production; Social Media.
- *Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of screen and media programs for video and animation productions with proficiencies in video and animation production software including but not limited to:
- Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Avid Composer,
- Adobe After Effects,
- Adobe Animate,
- CELTX,
- ToonBoom Harmony,
- Storyboard and integrating with Adobe Audition and/or Avid ProTools.
