Your Impact

As our Category Development Analyst you'll collaborate closely with our Senior Category Development Manager, leveraging your analytical prowess to drive impactful shopper and space projects. By orchestrating seamless coordination among internal and external stakeholders, you'll craft insightful thought leadership pieces that unearth valuable growth opportunities in the realm of shopper behaviour and spatial optimisation.

Your role will also extend to managing our external data agency and shopper insights partners, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, customised services, both routinely and on demand.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support Senior Manager Category Development in managing shopper research & space projects
  • Support Space Planner in the development of space recommendations that deliver to both category and shopper strategies.
  • Participate and input into the development of key shopper and macro space principles through space projects.
  • Partner with Category Managers & Sales where required to act as a Space SME in customer engagement sessions, range reviews, and space projects.
  • External Agencies: work with agency partners to manage consultancy time, ensure that services are delivered on time, to agreed specifications, and within cost.

About you:

You are data driven and analytical, with a curiosity that encourages you to ask questions and understand the why, with the ability to think critically. You excel in fast-paced environments, autonomously managing diverse stakeholders and effectively prioritising competing tasks. You also have:

  • Scan/Shopper Data analytics (Quantium and Summit highly regarded)
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Ability to influence internally and externally
  • Presentation skills – verbal and visual
  • Experience with range and space tools like Blue Yonder highly regarded
