Each year, more than 30,000 people are admitted and about 5000 babies are born at the Women's and Children's Hospital. In addition more than 250,000 people come to the hospital as outpatients.

About the Role
Provide quality consumer-centred, trauma-responsive nursing health care to consumers over 16 years of age, inclusive of all genders who are experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV) within Cedar Health Service. Nursing health care is provided in a variety of community health service settings, which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners. This may include detailed healthcare assessments that can be used in the criminal justice system and referral pathways in accordance with consumer centred care.
Accepts accountability for their own practice standards and activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to predominantly deliver clinical health care; however, employees are assigned appropriate portfolios, to improve the access to health services for all people affected by domestic and family violence. They will deliver high quality multi-disciplinary health care that is co-ordinated in response to meet the diverse and complex needs of the consumers.
The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working part-time.
Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
