Job description
Our aim at MELC is to provide high-quality education and care supported by safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments following best practice guidelines.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate director to join our team.
The role involves:
- Provide pedagogical leadership to ensure quality care and education programs for children
- Provide encouragement, leadership and mentoring to ensure we have a strong and happy team of educators
- Ensure that the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are implemented
- Maintain compliance with the National Regulations, and work towards an exceeding standard under the National Quality Standards
- Build relationships and strong connections between families and the centre.
- Monitor the utilisation of services and financial expenditure
- Ensure a high standard of centre presentation within the internal and external play spaces
- Build and engage with local communities, creating strong ties and relationships with the community and surrounding networks
- Ensure children and families have the best possible experience at Mayfield Early Learning Centre
